C.J. Bryce: "It's Going To Be A Big Game"

NC State senior guard C.J. Bryce is eager for the opportunity to face Memphis in Brooklyn.

“I feel like with the team we have right now, everyone is getting back in the groove. We’re getting players back on the court at comfortable positions. Against Georgia Tech, like you said, we weren’t at full strength.”

“For us to be able to go against them will be great for us.”

“Right now we’re very prepared to play against Memphis. We have our players back with Markell Johnson and D.J. Funderburk, and I’m ready to see how we play against them.”

“It’s going to be a big game for us, but we want to take it one game at a time.  It’s another game for us.”

“Not really... I followed it as far as if he’d participate in the games because he’s a really good player.”

“It’s all a part of the season. A lot of things happens with injuries... whoever they have, we’re looking forward to going against them.”

“We’re looking forward to getting better.”

“There was a lineup coach put on the court, maybe two games ago, where he had D.J. Funderburk and Manny Bates on the court at the same time, and that’s a lineup we’ve been waiting to see. I look forward to seeing that lineup on the court more this season. Both great rebounders and shotblockers. I’m looking forward to that.”

“I saw it coming.  It took him a minute to getting going with his shoulder injuries, but he had a practice where he was literally dunking and blocking everything, and I was like, ‘he’s going to be good.’  He’s shown it. We’re looking forward to continue watching him progress.”

“It helps us on defense because we can gamble more for steals and get out in passing lanes.”

“He’s a great athlete and great presence. He’ll only continue to progress.”

“It’s a position I've looked forward to stepping into... me being in coach’s system for so long, I have that experience.”

“I’ve seen a lot of talent and I’m looking forward to seeing even more when we play against Memphis.”
