Junior Wide Receiver Emeka Emezie

“It’s tough. We knew we could beat this team. We can beat this team, but there were some mistakes that kind of cost us the game. We’ve just got to bounce back.”

“It’s tough, but we have positive coaches and positive guys. They’re always telling us to bounce back. We’ve just got to get back in tomorrow, attack the day, and get ready for Georgia Tech.”

“We just can’t play with any excuses. We’ve just got to fight, and we can’t make mistakes. Regardless of whatever it is, we just can’t make mistakes. That’s all it is.”

Redshirt Senior Safety Jarius Morehead

“Everything, to be honest. We’re going to fix it tomorrow. Everything went wrong. We didn’t come out fast like we did in the first and second quarter.”

“Not really. We just said, ‘Next play.’ We still had the whole half to play, so it was just a next-play mentality.”

“We were showing up. This is a D that I’ve seen for the past three years I’ve been here, and that’s what I like to see in them, but it just kept falling off and falling off.”

Sophomore Running Back Ricky Person, Jr.

“It felt good to be back on the field with my brothers. I’ve worked out since the Florida State game, and I worked my ass off to get back in here.”

“I was just worried about right then. I wasn’t even trying to think about the next day. I was just worried about my injury.”

“It felt good. It was just a moment that we worked for. It was another touchdown, then it was back to the lab again.”

Freshman Linebacker Drake Thomas

“We just had some missed assignments. We’ve just got to go back, look at the film, see what happened, and try to fix it in this upcoming week. We’ve got a short week, so we’ve got to get back to the film room and fix what we messed up.”

“You can’t feel sorry for yourself. I’ve being asked to fill in a role, and I can’t think of myself as a younger guy. I’ve got to think of myself as an older guy, and I’ve got to meet all the requirements as anybody else on the team would. You can’t really think about that.”

“Everyone’s obviously hurt. We really wanted that game. Obviously with any game, you want to win. The guys and I are coming closer together. We've come out stronger."
