SIGNED: Ebe Dowuona, Nick Farrar Make It Official

Newnan (GA) Heritage School 2020 center Ebenezer Dowuona‍ and Apex Friendship (NC) forward Nick Farrar‍  have signed their letters of intent to attend NC State.

Dowuona originally committed to NC State earlier this fall after cutting his list to NC State, Pittsburgh, South Florida, San Diego State, and Denver.  He also held offers from programs such as Auburn, Clemson, Wake Forest, and Ohio State among others.

Ebe Dowuona signed his letter of intent today at his school.

Why NC State?

"It felt like home,” Dowuona said.  “I loved the staff.  One of the biggest factors for me was being around good people. I want to play for a coach who will support me, and I felt that way about coach Keatts.  

“When I went there I felt really good about it. There were a ton of good feelings at NC State.”

At 6-foot-10 and 225 pounds, Dowuona is a strong rebounder and rim protector with a developing post game. He’s expected to play the center position at NC State.

Nick Farrar‍ was NC State’s first commitment in the 2019 class, picking the Wolfpack after landing an offer over the summer. 

Farrar emerged into one of the hottest prospects in the region, rising from a mid-major target to a recruit with offers from programs such as Texas A&M, LSU, and Seton Hall.

"It was mind-blowing, but I knew I had to keep working,” he said at the time.  “The hard work was the reason it was happening. Not to sound cocky, but when you get a good offer it's like a respect thing. When a college believes in you it makes you happy and makes you even hungrier."

Farrar had offers from over 25 programs when he picked the Wolfpack.  

Checking in at 6-foot-7 and 235 pounds, Farrar believes he is a combo forward on the next level.  He added most schools are recruiting him as a small forward or undersized four-man.
