Sophomore Safety Tanner Ingle

“It’s not too tough. We all practice. We all get reps in practice. Everybody’s prepared to go in the game when necessary. I don’t feel like it’s that hard to adjust. We just have to make the plays that we make everyday.”

“I feel like we have a lot of improvement to do. That’s really all I can say about that. Clemson put up 52 points, and Wake put up 40-something. We’ve just got a lot of improvement to do. That’s all.”

“We’ve just got to keep a high chin and stay positive. We have to go out and practice, work hard, keep everybody’s heads up, and just keep grinding.”

“Of course. Everybody wants to win. It’s frustrating when you don’t get what you want. We come here to win games, so when we’re not winning games, it is frustrating, and we do get angry about it.”

Freshman Running Back Zonovan Knight

“I feel all right, but obviously I’m not satisfied because we lost. Overall, I feel like I could have done better. I know I had a decent game, but it wasn’t enough to help the team overcome the deficit.”

“To be honest with you, I still didn't feel myself. I guess because, with the brace, I can’t fully pick up my knees. I didn’t feel like myself running. I felt a little slower. I didn’t feel as fast as I normally am. It felt good, but it didn’t feel right not being able to escape everybody.”

“It’s tough to assess things with all the injuries. We’re just trying to get everybody because we’re low. We’re having to play more freshmen, so getting everybody experienced and getting those guys developed, that’s the biggest thing right now.”

“On the sidelines, we’re trying to keep our heads up. Coach Doeren was walking up and down the sidelines saying, ‘Keep your heads up.’ We had to keep everybody motivated because people were getting down on themselves."

Redshirt Freshman Quarterback Devin Leary

“It’s tough. Anytime you turn the ball over, it’s always hard on the offense and even the defense as well. It’s something we have to work on. We just have to eliminate the turnovers and keep getting better from here.”

“We’re taking it week by week. We start tackling our next opponent starting tomorrow. We’re watching the film, putting it to bed, learning from it as much as we can, and then just going right back at it the following week.”

“Just getting better. We have to watch the film tomorrow and correct all the little things, and I think the biggest thing is that we can’t beat ourselves. That’s where we really have to start.”

“I just feel like we know what we’re capable of doing. Like I said, it starts with not beating ourselves. It’s just going back to work and knowing what we’re capable of doing even though we have so many guys hurt right now. That’s not really an excuse for us. We want to strive to be as best as we could be."

Graduate Student Defensive Tackle Larrell Murchison

“It’s really frustrating, but it’s easy to get frustrated and mad. The hard part is to actually suck it up and just keep playing. That’s the route I’m trying to take, and it’s the route I’m trying to get my teammates to take. We’ve just got to keep fighting no matter what.”

“Definitely. I’m working as hard as I can to lead by example. As I sit here, I’m trying to stay positive. That’s a big thing for me: to stay positive when times are rough because we’ve got to do what we’ve got to do.”

“It’s tough. It hurts me to see my teammates down. It hurts me to see anybody down. It’s tough, but we just have to keep fighting.”

“It’s the next-game mentality. Whoever’s in front of us, we’re just going to work hard to play our best football."
