NC State senior defensive tackle B.J. Hill answers five rapid-fire questions from Inside Pack Sports.

You spoke up after the Florida State game demanding the team not lose focus. How has NC State done this week?
I have. We came out and had a good practice [Wednesday]. We just move to next week. We have got Syracuse this week. That is our focus.

What problems does Syracuse present?
Their offense, the way that they tempo their offense, is pretty good so we have just got to condition the best that we can and get ready for it.They might be one of the fastest that we play this season.

Do you feel like conditioning over the summer played a role in the second half performance at Florida State and will help Saturday in dealing with Syracuse’s offense?
Probably. Our strength coach, Coach Thunder, and all of them guy did a really good job with us over the summer and pushed us to be the best conditioned that we can be.

How much do you enjoy playing defensive tackle and how critical is your job?
I think it starts with the two inside guys to be honest. The hype goes to the [defensive] ends but that really doesn’t matter to me. I just focus on doing my job well so we can have success at the end of the day.

How important is having played with your defensive line teammates for essentially your entire college career and do you get as much joy in creating success for them as you do for yourself?
It is very important. We have a strong bond together, all of us on the D-Line. I think that plays a big role in our play because I can trust the people beside me no matter what it is.

I feel happy for them. I love taking on double-teams. That is my job. If they get the sack, I am happy for them.
