CHARTING THE PASSING GAME: Syracuse

At the conclusion of the Syracuse contest NC State had pulled out a hard-fought win, and you never apologize for that.  Having said that, we all know that it was one forgettable offensive performance. In a perverse way I was eager to break down this game to see where the struggles truly existed and if our eyes had lied to us. I’ll go ahead and give you my conclusion: Even though we’ve talked endlessly about the quarterback position, the play of the offensive line is of far more concern to me.  By the end of my review I thought Bailey Hockman played better than some initially gave him credit for, but the inconsistency upfront hindered both the passing and rushing performances. With that in mind, let’s begin our break down of the passing game against Syracuse.
