Redshirt Sophomore Quarterback Matt McKay

“Pretty solid. Felt like I started strong throughout the first half. Second half, I didn't start out the best way -- I didn't start out hot -- but I just tried to overcome that adversity. I feel like I did a solid job but at the end of the day we didn't win so that is my main focus.”

“We just didn't execute as well as an offense in the second half.”

“We just couldn't execute it. We couldn't put the ball in better spots on third down. The run game was working most of the time but it was just a lack of execution.”

“It is frustrating but you have just got to move on to the next play and put it behind us and you just try to score.”

“I have just got to watch the film. I am not sure exactly what happened. I am going to go back and learn from it and move on.”

“I could have been a lot better.”

Freshman Linebacker Drake Thomas

“I think there are a lot of areas we can get better in so we can just get back to work tomorrow and fix everything we did wrong and get back to work.”

“I am not sure. We didn't really buy in and pay attention to the hype or how they performed last week. Obviously, we could have done a better job.”

“They are a high tempo team.”

“I just dropped into my coverage. I was reading the quarterback. I broke down and basically he just threw it right to me.”

“It was exciting. It was one of my first big plays ever in college, but I much rather would have had the win.”

Redshirt Sophomore Wide Receiver Thayer Thomas

“I guess. I know their coaches were preaching about being more physical so the game was leading up to it but I honestly think it was just sort of a bang-bang play -- it wasn't anything intentional there. Luckily I wasn't really hurt so I was able to go back out there and play.”

“It means everything. I have 30 family members here. I grew up coming to these games here. My grandmother passed away about four years ago -- September 30th which is around the corner -- I sort of play for her and went out there and tried to play to the best of my ability. All of my cousins, all of my uncles, and my two grandparents were there. There is a bunch of family here so it means everything but we didn't get the win. I really wanted that.”

“We just didn't make the key plays on third down. I felt like there was some plays that we will run it back. Third down conversions and scoring in the red zone -- we kicked two field goals in the third quarter. I think if we get touchdowns in those situations it is a totally different game.”

“I think the plays were there, we just weren't really connecting on them. I am not going to sit here and blame someone. It was a collective whole of us not executing. We need to look to the film tomorrow and just figure out what things we need to fix.”

“He thought we played two weeks of good football. He thought we got our butts kicked in the second half. We were right there in the first half and he felt like we were right there physically with them and then, I guess, in the second half I think they just turned it up a notch. We didn't really match it to the best of our ability. That was sort of the separation in the score.”

Redshirt Senior Safety Jarius Morehead

“We have got to go tomorrow and watch film to fix what we have got to do and come out ready next week.”

“It was most definitely a lost opportunity. We had opportunities to make plays and we didn't. That's on us.”

“There were really no more breakdowns. It was kind of like mental errors. It was mental errors to be honest.”

“Two games, it was really no competition. It wasn't like a real game, so it shows that we have really got to work next week and come back ready to play.”

“A lot of jets, we didn't really see a lot of that on film. We had to adjust to it.”

“We just wasn't defending the gaps and we were just losing gaps. That's pretty much it.”

“You can't really say it was a lack of pass rush because they were really throwing short routes and not throwing deep routes.”

Redshirt Junior Tight End Cary Angeline

“They are definitely a great team and I guess they kind of adjusted. We will definitely look to bounce back next week.”

“It was tough but we definitely played hard. Definitely credit to them. It was a crazy atmosphere and they are a great team so we couldn't pull out the win today.”

“We have played in some tough stadiums before but definitely it was a cool stadium and they were very loud so we just have to come back next week and fix our -- corrections.”
