WRALSportsFan.com: TRI-PARTISAN- The Big Question: Is NC State Good?
We don't know how good NC State is. With wins over ECU and Western Carolina, this team hasn't been challenged, but that should change this weekend in Morgantown, West Virginia.
The Mountaineers are 1-1 and fresh off a blowout loss at Missouri, but first-year head coach Neal Brown will have his crew ready to play. At home, the Wolfpack should get the best version, a motivated version, of West Virginia.
That is exactly what NC State needs because on the surface there are signs this could be a really, really good football team, which is impressive given all the questions facing the Pack heading into the season.
Who was going to be the quarterback? How can NC State replace Kelvin Harmon and Jakobi Meyers? The offensive line seems so young, where is the depth? Can anyone develop into a superstar like Bradley Chubb or Germaine Pratt? Will the co-offensive coordinator experience work? Will the transition from a 4-2-5 to a 3-3-5 front be successful?
You get the idea.
