NC State sophomore forward Esra McGoldrick is no longer on the women's basketball team, a school official confirmed this afternoon.   She is not on the official roster at GoPack.com.

McGoldrick played in 21 games as a freshman, averaging 1.0 points and 1.2 rebounds in 5.0 minutes per game. She shot 9-of-27 (.333) from the field and 3-of-14 (.214) from three-point range and scored a season-high 10 points and grabbed a season-high five rebounds in a win over Wake Forest.

The 6-foot-2 forward from Rangi Ruru Girls' School in Christchurch, New Zealand was called up to play with her national team, New Zealand, last month and is set to play with the Tall Ferns in Taiwan later this month.

We do not believe McGoldrick will be transferring to another program at this time, as she’s likely to return to New Zealand.
