COMMIT ALERT: Davin Vann Picks NC State

NC State landed a commitment today from Cary (NC) defensive tackle Davin Vann‍.  The rising high school senior was on the Wolfpack’s campus for an unofficial visit.

Vann picked NC State over offers from Louisville, East Carolina, App State, and Charlotte, among others.

The 6-foot-2, 275-pounder was one of the top performers at the recent Opening Regional in Charlotte.

A multi-sport athlete, Vann won the state heavyweight wrestling title as a junior.  On the gridiron he totaled 79 tackles, 25 tackles for a loss, and 12 sacks last year for the Imps.

Vann is NC State’s ninth commitment in the 2020 class and the Wolfpack’s second defensive tackle verbal, joining Hertford County (NC) standout Jaylen Smith‍.
