NC State Offers In-State Guard Jalen Cone

Walkertown (NC) point guard Jalen Cone‍ earned an offer today from NC State after working out in front of the Wolfpack's staff.

Currently a 2020 prospect, Cone could be a 2019 option, as well.

“Coach Keatts spreads the floor and lets his players attack the gaps and makes plays for themselves and others,” Cone previously told Inside Pack Sports.  “He lets them go out and hoop on offense and play hard on defense.  That’s my kind of play.  I feel like I can create my own shot on all three levels and set up others, so they think I’d be a great fit.  They run screen-roll, too, and I can be really good in that."

Cone, a four-star recruit, is tracking as one of the top point guard prospects in the country.  He is averaging 25 points and six assists per game for Walkertown (NC) High School, and already holds offers from Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, VCU, Yale, Coastal Carolina, and UNC Greensboro, among others.
