RELEASE: Dereon Seabron Signs LOI With NC State

RALEIGH, NC. – NC State men's basketball head coach Kevin Keatts announced Thursday that Dereon Seabron‍ has signed a national letter of intent to attend NC State and playbasketball for the Wolfpack.

Keatts on Seabron:
“Dereon is a tremendous athlete with a unique skill set. He is a playmaking guard that has a team-first mentality. His length and athleticism will allow him to make plays on both ends of the floor. We are excited to have him in Raleigh and welcome him to the Wolfpack family.”

About Seabron:
Ranked as four-star and #102 overall recruit by … attended Massanutten Military Academy (Woodstock, Va.) for post-grad year in 2018-19 … helped lead the Colonels to 32-4 record as team advanced to the Final Four of National Prep Championship … team lost to Brewster Academy and fellow NC State signee Jalen Lecque in Final Four … graduated from Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, Va. … was Virginia High School League Class 4A Player of the Year in 2017-18 … led Titans to Class 4 State title, the first in program history … scored 24 points and had 9 rebounds in double-overtime win in the state championship game … averaged 22.5 points and 11 rebounds per game as a senior … named Class 4A Region Player of the Year and All-Tidewater Player of the Year … averaged 17.2 points and 7 rebounds per game as a junior in 2016-17 … named All-4A East Region Team, First-Team All-Conference 17 and Second-Team All-Tidewater … as a sophomore in 2015-16 helped lead Lake Taylor to its first state championship game appearance in school history.
