NC State graduate center Wyatt Walker will not use his final year of eligibility at NC State.  The 6-foot-9, 240-pounder has elected to start his professional career.

Walker averaged 4.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 17.9 minutes per night this season for the Wolfpack.

He began his college career at Samford University before transferring to NC State last summer as a grad transfer.

NC State now has DJ Funderburk and Manny Bates returning as options at the big forward position in the Wolfpack’s system.

Valparaiso grad transfer 7-foot-1 center Derrik Smits is scheduled to officially visit NC State over the weekend.  Smits averaged 12.2 points and 5.7 rebounds in just 21.9 minutes per game last season for the Crusaders.
