Why NC State? “Honestly, when I saw the depth chart. That was during the visit when I had the position meeting with coach Kitchings. He was showing me the things they were doing and how I could maybe earn playing time as a true freshman.
Coach Kitchings and coach Doeren were saying they seriously need me to be ready to play when I get there. That's something I really liked. A bunch of schools tell you that you'll have the opportunity to play early, but you're behind four or five guys when you get there.”
Who Did He Pick NC State Over? Previously committed to Maryland. Houston had offers from Virginia Tech, UNC, Maryland, Penn State, and Michigan State, among others.
IPS Take On Jordan Houston: What Houston lacks in size he more than makes up for with quickness, agility, and athleticism. We had a chance to watch him extensively at camp last summer and he jumped out at us with his silky smooth athleticism and cutting ability.
Houston also has a very reliable set of hands and we think he has the potential to be a very solid pass receiving threat out of the backfield. We think with his acceleration and shiftiness, Houston brings a different kind of element to the Wolfpack offense that’s missing currently.
