Senior Guard Torin Dorn

On toughness of getting into the paint against Virginia...
It's definitely tough. They play pack line defense, and that's their whole thing is to not let you get in the paint. So it's tough to get in there, but you can. You just have to make the right plays once you do.

On never counting the team out from a game...
It just comes from the energy and heart that we play with. Every day in practice is a battle, so that's just the character we have. We're a team that you can't count us out until there's triple zeroes on the clock.

On what was difficult about overtime...
I just think that in the extra session, we just have to defend without fouling. They got a lot of free throws. I think their first three possessions, they were on the free throw line. So when you get to the extra session like that, you've just got to lock in even more and defend because it's going to be a four or five possession game, so you've got to play those like it's the last possession of the game.

On takeaways from the game...
That we can play with anybody. We just have a few things here and there, a few details, and that game is totally different. So we just have to come back ready to play, ready to practice, and be ready to get the next one.

Junior Forward Wyatt Walker

On the feeling after the game...
Virginia is a really good basketball team. Give all the credit to them. We don’t take any moral victories, and I’m obviously disappointed in the loss. That is a tough team, and we fought hard. I am very pleased with our effort. There were just a few key plays down the stretch that we needed to convert. As I said before, a lot of credit to Virginia. They stick to their game plan, and they are really good at it.

On what got them back in the game...
I think how we played is our style of play. The way we play is relentless. You guys saw what happened against Clemson. We’re always in the game, and I think that mindset helped bring us back. I felt like we played to the scouting report and played as a team.

On positive takeaways from the game...
There are certainly some positives. We’re never satisfied if the outcome is a loss. There are some things we need to build on, but there are certainly some positive things.

Sophomore Guard Devon Daniels

On what Virginia did well and what the Pack did to close the gap...
They play a really good team defense. It was like a one possession game. We were this close to winning. They were this close to winning. It just went their way in the end.

On what the team can learn from this game...
Like we always say, there are no moral victories, but that just tells us that we're right there, and if we clean up a few things, take out some of the mental mistakes and stuff like that, we can win the game.

On the Pack hanging with a team that could potentially content for a national title...
We're right there. I believe, and I think everybody on this team, coaching staff and all, believes that we're right there.

On the message in the locker room...
You build on it. Look at the things we did wrong, things that we can clean up, and just build on it. We've got tomorrow off. We're going to get some treatment, get healthy, and then on Thursday, we're going to lock back in for Virginia Tech.
