UPDATE: Spring 2019 Roster Changes

NC State has posted the 2019 spring roster at GoPack.com. Here is a look at the notable changes and additions made to the roster.

Redshirt Juniors Move On

NC State has removed the seniors, graduates, and early entry candidates from the roster.  Also, two redshirt juniors who had a year of eligibility are no longer listed.

Redshirt junior offensive tackle Philip Walton participated in Senior Day activities and he’s no longer in the program.  Walton played a reserve role his last two years, mainly on special teams.

Redshirt junior cornerback Vernon Grier is no longer in the program.  Grier has a year of eligibility left. He played in four games this year, recording a tackle.

Mid-Year Enrollees Added To The Official Roster

NC State has also officially added all 16 mid-year enrollees to the roster.

Parting Shots

* Graduate wide receiver Stephen Louis isn't listed on the roster.  There had been speculation that Louis could potentially receive a sixth year.

* USC linebacker transfer Levi Jones is listed in NC State's student directory but has not yet been added to the Wolfpack's official roster.  Jones is currently a sophomore.

* There were no notable position changes/updates to the roster from the fall.  Malik Dunlap continues to be listed at cornerback and De'Von Graves is still listed at cornerback, as well.  Graves played a lot of safety late in the season and Dunlap was originally recruited to play safety/nickel.

* Redshirt sophomore Grant Gibson is listed as an offensive guard on the roster and redshirt junior Joe Sculthorpe is listed as a center. 

* Redshirt freshmen defensive linemen Joe Boletepeli, Derrick Eason, and Davontae McCrae are all listed as defensive ends.

* NC State ended up playing seven true freshmen last year who are now listed as sophomores.
