CONFIRMED: Levi Jones Transfers To NC State
Southern California sophomore linebacker Levi Jones has officially transferred to NC State. He is now enrolled for the spring semester and on the Wolfpack's official roster.
Jones is listed as a junior on the Wolfpack’s roster and should have two years of eligibility remaining.
Jones was one of the top linebackers in the 2017 class, picking USC on signing day over finalists Florida and Florida State. He also held offers from UCLA, Texas, Texas A&M, East Carolina, NC State, TCU, and Oregon, among others
He spent two years at USC before being dismissed in November for a violation of team rules. Jones visited NC State in early December and is now a member of the Wolfpack.
Jones is the son of former ECU great Robert Jones, a star linebacker on the college and professional level, and Robert is a close friend of Wolfpack defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Dave Huxtable -- who actually coached the elder Jones at East Carolina.
Jones played special teams as a true freshman before earning a backup linebacker role in 2018 for the USC Trojans. The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder finished the year with 13 tackles and projects to be an immediate contributor for NC State.
