REPORT: Roof to be named DC at App State

According to Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports, NC State co-defensive coordinator Ted Roof will be joining Eliah Drinkwitz’s staff at Appalachian State as the defensive coordinator. 

Roof joined NC State’s staff prior to the 2017 season after serving as the defensive coordinator at Georgia Tech from 2013-17. 

Appalachian State will be the 10th defensive coordinator job for Roof, who began his college coaching career in 1987 as a graduate assistant with Alabama.
