Redshirt sophomore linebacker Brock Miller answers six rapid-fire questions from Inside Pack Sports.

What has it been like to be back out at practice?
It’s been good. We just got done with exams. Everybody is free now and we’re just focused on football. It feels good to have the guys back together and we’re excited for this bowl game. Feels good to be prepping for a team. We’re exciting to get this thing going and head down to Jacksonville.

You probably found out right before the UNC game that you would start that game, but now you have multiple weeks to prepare for Texas A&M knowing Germaine Pratt won’t play. Do you believe that will help you be more prepared?
I think I’ll be ready when the game comes. It helps having more time to prepare. I still talk to Pratt and he gives me advice about how to attack the week and the opponent. I think as the linebackers, we’re trying to finish and with the next two weeks it’ll help me because I get to take the one reps.

At the same time, we’re all trying to come together and finish and go out with a good bowl win.

When did you find out Germaine wouldn’t play in the bowl game?
I found out when everybody else did. The whole time he was encouraging us and I still talk to him. He’s still trying to help us however he can. We’re glad for everything he did.

He texted us before the instagram post but it was that day.

Texas A&M may have the best tight end in the country, Jace Sternberger. Does that make their offense unique?  You don’t find many that feature a tight end as the primary pass-catcher.
It’s different. They’re going to go to him when they need a big play. After watching film it’s evident he’s their go-to guy. They are going to throw it up to him and let him go get it.

We haven’t faced a tight end of his caliber, but it’s a new challenge and new opportunity. We’re excited. I know he’s a good tight end, but we’re good, too.

Does he do most of his work in-line or do they move him around a lot?
They use him as much as they can. They’ll try to match him up with a linebacker in the box or against a smaller corner outside. They’re going to try to get him the ball. If it’s red zone or third down we know it’s going to him.

We’re going to be ready; it’s another challenge.
