IPS Take On Jalen Frazier: Frazier was the Pack’s third 2019 commitment and he had an impressive offer list, the most notable of which is Michigan. Frazier was an important guy for the Wolfpack to lock up early in the process.
The biggest knock on Frazier is his height, but he’s a physical football player and his play against the run may be his best attribute. The kid will light you up. He’s a big-time hitter, and resembles former Wolfpacker Dravious Wright with his physical style.
He does have room to improve in 1-on-1 situations. The question is will he stick at corner or move to nickel. Originally, the idea was for him to be the nickel but, that may have changed when Jakeen Harris committed.
The Pack has reloaded in the secondary with the last two recruiting classes and Frazier is a big part of that, even if it will be more difficult for him to get on the field early. With his ability to tackle, he could see early playing time on special teams.
