Why NC State? “It was the best fit for me.  I really like coach Huxtable and coach Doeren... they sold me on the program.”

Who Did He Pick NC State Over? Clemson, UNC, Duke, and Wake Forest, among others.

IPS Take On Jaylon Scott: Scott comes from Shelby High School, one of the best programs in the state, and they just won the 2AA state championship.

Scott was one of the first to jump on board the ‘19 class and has been loyal to NC State since he committed on May 16th. Scott is one of the least talked about guys in the entire class, but he’s going to contribute in Raleigh.

He is an excellent linebacker to pair with Drake Thomas and could even bulk up and move to defensive end if needed.

The depth chart at linebacker is in great shape for the Pack right now, so Scott’s best chance to see the field early will be on special teams, and Dave Doeren has shown he will burn a redshirt if a player has shown they can contribute on special teams.
