IPS Take On Ty Evans: Despite adding Bailey Hockman as a transfer, the Pack still wanted to add a high school quarterback. After pursuing Evans early in his recruitment but coming up short, the Wolfpack circled back after Mike McIntyre was fired from Colorado. The Wolfpack was able to lure Evans away from the hometown Buffaloes after his official visit.
Evans will throw his hat into the impending quarterback competition, but the odds are stacked against him. He suffered a MCL injury in his high school playoffs so his recovery time will impact how much of spring practice he’s able to participate in. Evans is a pro-style quarterback with plenty of untapped potential.
