Why NC State? “That's the kind of football program I want to be around. It's fun and a fun program to be in, but when we have to get down to business then we play football and get serious about it. I think that's the perfect atmosphere in a football program that you want. Obviously you can tell that they are winning games and they've been crazy good these last few years.”
Who Did He Pick NC State Over? Maryland, Wake Forest, App State, and Rice, among others
IPS Take On Chris Toudle: NC State is loaded right now with big, physical wide receivers such as Stephen Louis and Kelvin Harmon, and last year the Wolfpack inked in-state star Devin Carter and New Jersey standout Jasiah Provillon.
Wide receivers coach George McDonald is at it again, and this time he landed Chris Toudle out of Wilmington (NC) Hoggard High School.
At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, Toudle is a matchup nightmare for cornerbacks and safeties. Capable of lining up at flanker or in the slot, Toudle flashes good quickness out of his routes and strong hands. He can be a major weapon in the redzone and has enough speed to serve as a vertical threat.
Toudle is also extremely physical, showing a willingness to block from the slot or in the run game, and when factoring in his size he could potentially grow into a tight end down the road.
