Opening Statement...

We knew they were a good team. We knew their game plan. We just didn’t execute.

I put that first half on me. I couldn’t make the plays I was supposed to make. They ended up scoring touchdowns.

What did you learn about yourselves as a group?

We are always going to play hard. We are going to play for each other but it just wasn’t enough today.

It is very frustrating like I said. Those were both my plays. I have got to be better.

Where is the mindset?

Everybody is a little mad right now but tomorrow we have got to get over it for our next opponent.

Can this still be a team to play for an ACC title?

Definitely. I hate to bring them up but UNC they lost [season opener] and ended up playing for the ACC championship so, I mean, you never know what the season holds but we are just trying to get one percent better each day.

Are you surprised to leave here with a loss?

I am not surprised when I know the plays that we left out on the field, especially myself. I can’t say I am surprised. I knew it was going to happen. I was always told ‘if you want something done, do it yourself’ and so I always take that mentality to play my best and play for my team. I didn’t do what I needed to do and we ended up losing.

Do other guys have that mentality too?

Everybody on this team plays for each other. We know if you don’t do your job you cost the team so everybody has that mentality, yeah.

Can you recover from this?

Definitely. We are a mature team. All seniors. We have all been through heartbreak, so we know how to get over it. We know how to get over it and we just know keep fighting after this game.
