As an offense, how would you grade your performance?

I thought we moved the ball really well. At the end of the day though, you’ve just got to finish with touchdowns. We want to finish with 100 percent touchdowns in the red zone. We drive all the way down the field to get points.

Thoughts on tempo...

Tempo was one of our goals because we knew that would hurt them if they got tired. We did a good job, but we just have to score in the red zone.

Thoughts on passing attack...

They were dropping eight... We just wanted to drop it into the flats and trying to get our guys out of coverage. We’ve just got to be able to find the holes.

I thought we had a great game plan. The tempo definitely hurt them early, but hats off to them for bouncing back and defending us down the stretch. We had two opportunities to get touchdowns, and we didn’t come away with any points.

Any difference in what they did to start the second half?

I think it was probably just me holding onto the ball longer and trying to make a play. I came out to just make a play, and it took a little longer.

What did you learn about your offense?

We’re definitely going to bounce back. We’ve got 11 more games left, and we’re not going to sit on this one. We’re going to move on with what we’ve learned as an offense moving the ball. We’ve got to keep scoring touchdowns, and that’s on me. We know we can play with the best of them, and we’re going to bounce back.

Were there too many mistakes overall as a team?

I think with first games, there are mistakes on both sides of the ball. That’s obviously something we have to clean up, but that's something that will get there.
