RAPID FIRE: Teshaun Smith
True freshman cornerback Teshaun Smith answers seven rapid-fire questions from Inside Pack Sports.
It seems like you’re playing more now. How did you earn this role?
During camp I was doing pretty well with the ones and twos. As the season progressed, coach always told me to be ready, so I was always prepared.
What have you seen from Louisville’s wide receivers?
They’re good route runners, they have a lot of speed. Good hands. Overall good receivers.
Another week you guys have had to prepare for multiple quarterbacks. Is that a concern this week?
As cornerbacks, we prepare for the receivers -- not the quarterbacks -- so it doesn’t really affect us.
Have you faced anyone yet similar to Louisville in what they try to do?
As far as speed, Florida State. Big and fast receivers.
What do you see from Louisville on film?
I see a team that’s fighting for a win. They’re facing adversity because they just lost their head coach yesterday. I see a team that’s eager and hungry to get a win.
What is the biggest challenge this week?
Playing our brand of football. That’s pretty much it.
How have you guys recovered from the Wake Forest loss?
We have a 24-hour rule so after 24 hours we gameplan for the next team. After those 24 hours we forget about the game.
