Roseboro: "We Take Pride In Defending Our Stadium"
NC State senior defensive end Darian Roseboro is happy to be back at home and ready to face Florida State.
What is the mindset heading into the Florida State game?
We're just trying to get better every day. We have to bounce back and do our job, work on the fundamentals. Just come in and execute and see it on the field
What corrections do you need to make from Syracuse?
Just mental errors. We have to execute our defense. We have to rely on our technique and our fundamentals and our camp rules. Transfer it to the field and do our job.
On returning to Carter Finley…
It’s always nice being at home. We have a great fanbase and support. We take pride in defending our stadium and it’ll be nice being back at home.
Florida State hasn't announced who will start at quarterback. How do you prepare for both options?
The best way possible and that’s on film. We prepare for both but focus on ourselves and fix what we need to do and execute our game plan.
James Blackman vs. Deondre Francois...
I don’t think it matters. We have to watch both and be ready for their offense.
Florida State has really struggled rushing the football. What do you see as the problems they are having?
I think it’s mental errors on their end and being able to execute what they run. It comes down to that for every team -- focusing on their gameplan and executing on offense and defense.
Is stopping the run still the priority given the recent struggles against the pass?
That’s the most important thing. Stopping the run and getting them in third and long and executing our game plan.
You haven't forced many turnovers recently as a team. How do you change that?
It’s big because we have emphasis on getting the ball back to the offense. It comes down to us putting more effort on the field and trying to strip the ball and get the ball.
