PACK IN THE PROS: Week 1

Here is a look at how several former Wolfpack stars performed this week in the National Football League.
 


* David Amerson is currently a free agent and working out for teams (most recently the Lions).

* Jacoby Brissett served as the backup for Andrew Luck this week.  Indianapolis lost a close home game to Cincinnati.

* Juston Burris didn't record any stats in New York's Monday night win over Detroit.

* Bradley Chubb had three tackles and half a sack in his NFL debut for Denver, a win over Russell Wilson and the Seahawks.

* Matthew Dayes is on the Browns practice squad.

* Mike Glennon didn't play for Arizona.

* David Grinnage is on the Jaguars practice squad.

* Stephen Hauschka made 1-of-2 field goals for Buffalo, who was blown out 47-3 by Baltimore.

* Dontae Johnson was placed on injured reserve after injurying his groin.  He had won the starting cornerback job for the Seahawks.

* BJ Hill totaled four tackles in his NFL debut, a loss for the New York Giants against Jacksonville.

* Nyheim Hines was treated as a "touch" player by the Colts. The rookie totaled five carries for 19 yards and seven catches for 33 yards.

* Josh Jones was injured and did not play for Green Bay against Chicago.

* Justin Jones totaled three tackles in his NFL debut for the LA Chargers.

* Ted Larsen is playing center this year for the Miami Dolphins.

* Will Richardson was inactive for Jacksonville.

* Philip Rivers completed 34-of-51 passes for 424 yards for Los Angeles in the opener vs. Kansas City.  Rivers tossed three touchdowns and one interception in the outing, but the Chiefs defeated the Chargers 38-28.

* Jaylen Samuels is now the backup running back for Pittsburgh but didn't receive any action in the opener.

* J.R. Sweezy started at right guard for Seattle in the opening loss at Denver.

* Joe Thuney started at left guard for New England.  The Patriots won their opener over the Texans.

* Russell Wilson completed 19-of-33 passes for 298 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions in the opening loss at Denver.
