NC State head coach Dave Doeren met with the media after the Wolfpack's 41-7 win over Georgia State.

Opening Statement...
I’d like to start by thanking our fans for the White Out today. Hopefully they enjoyed that opportunity.

Again, back-to-back hot weeks. Good win for our football team, 41-7. A lot of stuff, first time things happening, guys scoring their first touchdowns and making big plays.

It was good to see RB-Brady Bodine score a touchdown for us, just a guy that has been an awesome teammate and a good leader. RB-Trent Pennix scored his first touchdown. It was great to see that. Excited for those guys to get their first times in the end zone and QB-Matt McKay at the end.

Some good things for him to be out on the field and get some quality snaps at the end of the game.

Obviously, (QB-Ryan) Finley was exceptional, 31-of-38, I know he’d like the interception back, but 370 yards passing.

Defensively, keeping them out of the end zone. Gave up some runs and some runs after catches on some missed tackles that we need to clean up. A lot of things that were really good today and obviously there are always things to work on.

Steph seemed fine as far as any injuries, outside of the concussion. He'll (WR-Stephen Louis) go through the protocol and take the steps necessary before he can come back and play, but other than that I think we came out pretty healthy today.

On WR Thayer Thomas...
Thayer is playing at a high level. I think sometimes guys get categorized, a walk-on category, and people think that they just overachieve and they are not that great of athletes.

And he is an over-achiever, but he is a tremendous athlete. He’s got great quickness. He’s much faster than people give him credit for, I can tell you that.

He’s got good ball skills. He works really hard. He’s tough. He had a good game today. He took advantage of an opportunity with WR-Jakobi (Meyers) still being out with his ankle and did the most with his opportunity out there, obviously having his first 100-yard receiving day.

On WR Kelvin Harmon...
He had a good run after the catch. He had a better week of practice. Sometimes you need to play a game and see where you are at. Coverage systems were a little different.

He had more off coverage, more free access stuff today. He caught the ball well. He ran crisp routes. He gave himself a little more space on the sideline, which last week he kind of ran out of room a couple of times.

Kelvin is a great competitor and as soon as he’s putting something on tape, he’s going to look at it and try to get better and that’s what he did.
