TOP 10 PLAYS: No. 10 Morehead's Breakup vs. Boston College

We started a month-long feature at Inside Pack Sports where we look back at NC State's top offensive and defensive plays from the 2017 season.
The plays are selected on a variety of factors, ranging from level of difficulty, overall impact, importance to the game/season, etc...

Yesterday we completed our Top 10 offensive plays from the 2017 season with our No. 1 selection, Jay Sam's circus catch in the Marshall win.
Now we turn our focus to defense, and we begin our Top 10 defensive plays with No. 10... safety Jarius Morehead's fourth-down pass breakup in the Boston College win.
When fans think back to that Boston College game they will likely remember Bradley Chubb's dominance, Nyheim's big run, or even the botched trick play which allowed BC back into the game.
However, Jarius Morehead's instinctive play early in the second quarter was huge.
Boston College was driving and in the redzone, and on fourth down the Eagles called a halfback pass. Morehead could have easily been fooled on the play, but he recognized the deception, retreated, and broke up the pass which could have resulted in a touchdown.
The pass breakup ended Boston College's drive and kept the game scoreless, which proved pivotal given it was so low-scoring.
With that BC contest being a swing game for NC State, Morehead's play was big.
