NC State landed a big-time commitment a few minutes ago from Roxboro (NC) Person four-star defensive tackle Joshua Harris. He announced his decision at a press conference at his high school.
Harris, who had narrowed his list to NC State, Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina, is rated the No. 2 player in North Carolina by Inside Pack Sports.
He gives NC State three four-star defensive line commitments and verbals from the top three defensive linemen in the state, including Savion Jackson and C.J. Clark.
A high-motor interior lineman who can occupy blockers, Harris is disruptive and frequently re-establishes the line of scrimmage.
Harris finished his junior campaign with 85 tackles, 30 tackles for a loss, and 17 sacks, unreal production from the defensive tackle position.
He is an ideal fit as a nose tackle and physically is ready to play right away as a true freshman.
