What does it mean to be facing your brother this week?
It's definitely a blessing. This is something we've dreamed of since we were little kids. Not only in the house since we couldn't even walk, but we grew up on the same team.
This is a dream we talked about as kids, so we're really looking forward to competing this week.
Do y'all talk during the week, or how does that work?
We don't talk that much, no. It's not like a rivalry. There's no bad blood. I'm focused on my game plan, and he's focused on his.
We're just doing our own thing. We'll talk after the game.
What about family and friends? Who are they choosing to root for?
Well, here's the good news. We're in Carter-Finley, so I'm hoping they're all wearing something red. They'll be rooting for Luke for sure, too, but I'm hoping they root for our team to win.
Are there split-jersey situations?
I'm sure my mom will have one of those on, but hopefully not the rest.
What have these past few days been like for this team in general, trying to rally as a team and come back from that, but also rally around CJ at the same time?
It's been a learning experience and really good for us, too, because this is one of those things you can rewatch and learn from.
It's definitely tough, but we've been out here working really hard and fixing those little situations so that we can perfect it on Saturday.
What do you feel like you've proven about yourself in these three weeks?
I've proven that I can be a reliable target, but I haven't proven enough yet, personally. Every time the ball has come my way, I've made the play.
But I'm just looking to do anything I can to help this team. Whatever that is, whether it's catching balls, blocking, running on special teams, I'm there and ready to do it at a high level.
The difference between 2-2 and 1-3 is massive. How big is this game?
It's huge. We're home, so we've got a big advantage.
We've got a great fan base, but we're just taking it one week at a time. It's another opponent. We're going to compete our ass off, and we're going to win.
