NC State Adds Two More Left-Handed Arms Out Of The Transfer Portal

Earlier this week NC State landed a commitment from Wright State lefty Chet Lax and today the Wolfpack added two more left-handers, Jesse Gutierrez and McCall Biemiller.

Gutierrez, a 6-foot-1, 200-pounder from San Jose State, pitched four seasons for Spartans, striking out 139 batters in 158.1 innings.  He appeared in 57 games and made 15 starts, including 10 in 2026.  

He struck out 31 batters across 45.1 innings pitched while posting a 6.55 ERA.

McCall Biemiller will follow new NC State assistant Taylor Black from the University of Florida where Biemiller pitched sparingly over two seasons.

He appeared in 12 games and pitched 13.1 innings with 18 strikeouts but also 18 walks.

Both project to be bullpen arms for the Wolfpack.
