NC State F Ven-Allen Lubin met with the media to discuss the 96-90 overtime loss at Notre Dame.
What's it like in the back (at Notre Dame)?
This place is special for me because it is my first home. This place is very special to me, a lot of great memories. That's something that I value here. Even today, I'm just trying to help my team win.
It was a great game for you. All facets. What clicked? How did you carry that forward in the last few games?
Just my teammates finding me and giving me open looks. Just creating the rotation. Finding me in the short pocket passes. Trusting me with the ball to go make plays. It's going to be easy to go out and be aggressive and find ways to impact the game. That’s something for me I want to be the most consistent about. Because I know it's going to be one to help my team win. That's what I care about.
You missed a three-pointer in the first half. You came flying in from the backcourt. When you kind of look back at your career, was that something you envisioned yourself being able to do on a college level?
That's what I did every year. It was putbacks, just finding, crashing the boards. Just to help us as a team have more opportunities on offense to score.
