NC State head coach Dave Doeren has announced that Roc Bellantoni, a 31-year coaching veteran, has joined the Wolfpack staff as a defensive analyst.
Bellantoni, who will work with the defensive line, has been a part of seven conference championships, coached in seven FCS playoffs and has mentored 29 players who played professionally - including five NFL Draft picks - during his coaching career. The Port Chester, N.Y., native has spent 17 years as a defensive coordinator and another four years as a special teams coordinator.
A graduate of Iona, Bellantoni most recently worked as outside linebacker coach at Auburn, and has also coached at Florida Atlantic, Utah State, Washington State, Buffalo, Villanova, Eastern Illinois and Drake.
Bellantoni and his wife Jenny have four sons: Gino, Marco, Rico and Nico.
Joining the Wolfpack staff as a graduate assistant coach for offense is Goldsboro native Randy Floars. Floars has spent the past two seasons at Newberry College, where he coached the offensive line and served as run game coordinator and recruiting coordinator. Prior to that, he was the offensive line GA at Wingate, his alma mater, and also spent a season as the offensive line coach at Guilford College.
