How important was it to get a win like, what, eight? I can't do math. But, 25 points tonight after Monday?

JONES: It meant a lot,  Coach Moore told us we got to get going. We have February, March coming real soon. So, he's so supportive of our game. I feel like we played a great game. And we definitely need this win.

What went into your performance today?

JONES: I would just say the energy that I came out with. Coach Moore always starts on the defensive end. So, just defending and then going to offense. And I'm just confident in my shot. My teammates are confident. Finally, when I'm open, I just knock down the shot.

NC State, obviously, with Pierre. Y'all got the rebound and locked up. To have that type of player. I mean, obviously, she can score. She can create. But to have somebody down there that can collect the ball and start the break on one end. And even give y'all second chances on the offensive end. Just speak to that, if you don't mind.

BROOKS: Yeah, she's a really great player all around. She's obviously really good at rebounding. I mean, every game she has a double-double. So, that obviously helps us a lot. not just on the defensive side. But she also gets offensive rebounds. And she can score the ball with ease, like you said.

Your thoughts, ma'am?

JONES: I'm about to say the same thing. You know, she's a dog. Coach Moore likes calling little puppies. But I'm going to still say we dogs. She can help us. We can spread the floor out. You stop me, you stop her. We've got Khamil down there that can score and get rebounds. So, I feel like she's a team effort.

Where has her growth been from beginning of this year to right now? And then obviously she had to get acclimated to y'all. And then NC State to this new city and such.Just speak to where she's getting better acclimated to the Wolfpack.

JONES: I feel like she's going into our system. She came in new. So, I feel like she's fitting in great. She's finding her rhythm, getting rebounds, scoring the ball. So, I feel like she's getting to her rhythm.

Everybody scored who came into play today. Seeing what the bench got, really excited when Mallory scored. Can you all talk about a little bit about that, ma’am?

BROOKS: Yeah, obviously I've been here since freshman year and so has she. And, you know, that's my best friend. So, it's always good to see her get opportunities and do well and obviously score. So, I'm proud of her growth. And I'm excited to see how she continues to grow.

Florida State still got 19 offensive boards. I know that's probably more than y'all would want to give up. Was there anything specific that they were doing that allowed them to kind of corral as offensive?

JONES: I'm not going to make excuses. I feel like we just need to toughen up. Just box out. I mean, they are tall. So, it's going to be me down there. I'm 5'6", trying to box a 6'6".

I mean, I don't know how much I can do down there. But, I'm going to at least try to go down there. But, we just got to be a little tougher and box out and go grab it now.

Y'all got Va. Tech coming up. It's a road game, big game. Just speak to the challenges ahead and what you guys are looking for in February.

BROOKS: I'm actually really excited about this game. I remember my freshman year, we went there and we lost on a buzzer beater. So, I'm excited to go back and kind of get revenge from that game.
