NC State just landed a commitment from Oregon true freshman tight end Vander Ploog.
Ploog, who redshirted this season, was a consensus four-star prospect by 247Sports, ESPN, Rivals and the 247Sports Composite in the 2025 class.
He was viewed as the top tight end prospect out of California and No. 4 nationally at the position by Rivals, coming in as the No. 161 overall recruit in the 2025 class.
He graded as the No. 12 tight end and a top-250 prep in the 2025 cycle by 247Sports and ranked as the No. 10 tight end in the country and the No. 18 recruit out of California by the 247Sports Composite.
