NC State guard Terrance Arceneaux met with Wolfpack Weekly Radio show host Matt Chazanow to discuss his performance in NC State's 79-71 win over Boston College.
On his 12-point game tonight...
And being able to trust in my craft and what I've been working on. I mean, so it feels good to see the results in it.
Three for three from three against the best three point defense percentage in the ACC this year. Have you feeling it in practice? Have you been practicing better? Did you expect this tonight when you were translating practice into the ballgame?
Yeah, for sure. Like I said, I've been working on it a lot lately. And that's been my main focus is being ready to knock down them open threes when it comes to me. So like I said, I've been knocking them down in practice. So yeah, I expect to go in the game and make them all in. Shout out to Coach Howard because he's been out there working with me as well.
So you had two steals tonight, you had 11 steals in the ballgame as a team. A lot of times steals are also team defense oriented statistic. How good is that felt for you as a squad to force 16 turnovers tonight? 11 steals a lot.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, that's what, that's how I focus on defense. I try to force a lot of turnovers and get out of transition. So, I mean, that's great that we was able to do that. And let's continue to grow on and get better with it.
What kind of confidence do you guys have when early on in the ballgame, you get a few early buckets from Darrion. He had a fast start to this one tonight.
I mean, we get a lot of confidence. That's our best player, man. When we see him out there feeling the groove and confident in himself, that gives everybody else that confidence and that boost to play well.
So, and we follow the leader, like I said. And I'm just proud of him that he's been able to stay focused and stay on the ground.
And now he's trying to pay off against us. Coach Wade is really happy for you. I was just talking to him just now. He's talking about you. He said you've been going through a lot. He said he's really excited for you. He said your team's different when you're right. How does it feel to hear that?
I mean, it means a lot, because I know what type of player I am. And being able to go out there and perform for my guys and be back on the right track, like you said, I've been through a lot. Going through a lot. So, I mean, I'm just happy to be out there and support my team.
