COMMIT ALERT: Walker Picks NC State

April 27, 2018

Samford University grad transfer center Wyatt Walker committed to NC State today.

A productive player, Walker was an All-Conference player as a sophomore in 2016-2017 when he averaged 12.9 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.

"I believe I can play at that level," Walker said of the ACC. "I'm a great passer and rebounder, and I can score on the block or in the high post."

The 6-foot-9, 240-pounder had cut his list to NC State, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma State prior to making a decision.

He will enroll this summer and because he has graduated in three years and redshirted last season he has two full years of eligibility remaining.

Inside Pack Sports will have more from Walker on his decision in the near future so stay tuned!

Great news. Welcome to the Pack! Really allows those Freshmen more time to develop. Makes practice more competitive, too.
