NC State CB Devon Marshall Named A Second-Team All-American By The Athletic
The Athletic has released its All-American teams and NC State senior cornerback Devon Marshall was tabbed a second-team selection by the publication.
Marshall, a 6-foot, 200-pounder from Boston (MA), leads the FBS with 15 passes broken up and ranks second in the FBS in passes defended for the season with 17.
He had a monster performance in the win over Florida State where he was primarily matched up with All-ACC wideout Duce Robinson. Marshall tallied six pass breakups and two interceptions, and his six PBUs set a program record.
He posted an 88.8 overall PFF grade for the regular season, the highest grade on NC State’s roster. It is also the second-highest grade in the ACC among all cornerbacks and fifth-best among all P5 cornerbacks.
Marshall has also tallied 42 tackles and a forced fumble.
