IPS Take On Satchell (by PJ Williams):
Satchell was one of the first targets for DJ Eliot after he was brought in as defensive coordinator, which is fitting, given Satchell’s athletic profile. Satchell even lined up in the backfield and out wide for the Eastside offense, scoring multiple long touchdowns during his senior year.
Satchell projects as that classic hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker in Eliot’s system. He’s stout at the point of attack and shows some early understanding of hand placement, technique, and pass rush moves.
In terms of current comparisons, Satchell is more like Sabastian Harsh than Cian Slone at this stage, as the latter has more length. Both play with similar motors, however, and Satchell shows flashes of the disruptiveness Harsh displayed early in the season.
