NC State used an early goal from midfielder Taig Healy, fine defensive work from left-back Riley Moloney and goalkeeper Logan Erb, and a late score from forward Donavan Phillip to dispatch UNCG, 2-0, and advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships.

The Wolfpack (14-2-4) has advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1992. NCSU will look to reach the program’s second College Cup (Final Four) appearance on Friday, December 5th, with a matchup at Georgetown at 6 p.m.
