Noah, what's it been like turning the page and going to Miami and getting ready for a quick turnaround to Florida State?
Man, it's been quick. I mean, it's either simple like losing or winning. So it's just coming out here with that mindset, guaranteed two games. You can make it three, but how do you want to finish the chapter of your season? The way I look at it is just, like, just continue to fight for your brothers.
For example, like, seniors in our room, what's the ground, you know what I'm saying? Like, that's our brother. You got two guaranteed games, like, you going to play hard for them or what? That's how I look at it, something like that.
What lessons did you take from that Miami game that you're hoping to carry forward in these next two months?
Really just fundamentals and discipline. Just being more disciplined in the game, you know, staying true to our keys and all. Just have an urgency to be better at everything that we were doing. Just sharpening up the little things so they're not coming disasters.
What can you take away from the Miami loss?
Do you like getting kicked? They just... Pitt and Notre Dame just came out and played better football than us. And that's just not the standard here. We're a better football team than that and we're definitely better than those teams, I feel like.
It's just coming out and just having the mindset that we're the best football team out here. It's just a kill or be killed mindset. And we're the ones who just want to do the killing.
Is there any extra pressure knowing that chances to get to bowl eligibility are kind of dwindling down here toward the end of the season?
Nah, there isn’t too much pressure. It's just playing football. We play complimentary football, play our good football. We're going to get the results we want. There's a lot of seniors on the team and it's, like I said, playing for them. Do you want to see them get an extra game and have more fun with them or do you just want to have them go outside with two losses back to back? That’s just not how we do it here.
