On the turnovers...

Yeah, no, he's a good player. He's a long player, he made a lot of plays, good plays. But it's like his ability of like to play it in effect, and you're thinking that, how's it going on. But he's a great player. We had a couple 30 downs late in the game where he just scratched out to make a couple plays. So, he's a great player, but, we just got to fix what we had to do offensively.

And a follow-up question, what are your thoughts about the way the Miami defense played overall?

Yeah, I feel like it's a good defense. They played really good, held up to seven points, which is not usual. And, pat on the back to those guys, and they did a great job.

CJ, you guys didn't cross in the field for the first three quarters. What was kind of going on that kind of led to the inconsistent play level?

Yeah, we was killing ourselves, penalties, just not on the same page, throwing interceptions, of course. It was just us killing ourselves. We just had to play better offensively, just period.

Is it kind of more disappointing having that type of performance just being back down in your hometown?

Yeah, it's not good to lose any game, Even though, even with that being, with me being here back at home, it was a bad day. If they was at our house, I would still be mad if we lost. So, I just want to rub it off and go to the next one.

It seemed like the middle of their defensive line was able to get through a lot, you know, what impressed you on that?

They had great defensive linemen, great linebackers, they was making a lot of plays, especially in the right game, mid-pass, so, just like I said before, like, having them back to us, they played good defense.

How difficult did that make for you to kind of be able to make throws down the field?

Pass rush, I feel like my offensive line held up enough for me to get passes off, make plays, they did a great job of path protection. Their D-line didn't affect the way we passed the ball, it was just making better decisions on my end, just being a better player throughout the whole game, that's just on me.

What player on that defense stood out to you the most that really became a nuisance for you all night? I already mentioned the one player, but were there any other ones that became problematic that you had to pay more attention to?

Not really. I'll say three is a good player, he was rushing good, and, making a lot of plays in the run game, but that's, it was not really a guy who was just terrorizing the game? It's like, we just got to fix our stuff up as an offense.

CJ, you mentioned decision making, what do you think kind of went into that and kind of making the wrong throw or wrong read?

I'll say when we get backed up behind those sticks, like, when it's like third and long just find my back, it was, and I'll be honest with you, it was kind of hard for our backs to get out with, there was a hit bumping into our D-line and stuff like that, it was hard. But just, in my mind, I remember that, that tailback, on the back.

Sometimes we lose the back, they would listen away from the back a lot and we was losing them, so, just find a way to get that protection slid and get our back out would have been better for us.

Are you surprised that it wasn't as competitive maybe as you thought it would be?

Yeah, I really thought that we was going to go in and win it, that's our thoughts throughout the whole week, even throughout the ball game, it was just like, yeah, we're going to go play to win, we're going to go win this game and, move on to Florida State and it didn't happen, so, we'll just move on to next week.
