Coming off the Pitt loss…
Just getting back confident with each other, everybody speaking up, just everybody trying to be the best that they can be and look forward more than behind.

Sabastian talked about you guys having a meeting on Sunday. What did you kind of take away from that?
I took away that we really had a player's meeting. The coaches can't really like go out there and play for us. So it's really up to us with what we want to do with the season and take ownership as the players. That's really probably the biggest thing in the program right now.

Is there a message that you might want to give to the people who are like down on the team right now?
Really just stay calm, stay confident. The season's not over at all. We're a program that never gives up. We're a hard-fighting program, hard, tough together. And that's what we're going to live and die by, no matter what happens. Safe to say you grew up in a Wolfpack family.

And how do you share that with your teammates?
I mean, just being around the area. I mean, this is probably my first college game I've come to. Probably the first school I visited. So just being around the program. It's hard, tough together, like I said. Just preaching that to the guys. I definitely grew up in a Raleigh household, so.

What are your thoughts on Georgia Tech and what you're going up against?
They're a great football team, obviously. They're a hard-nosed, tough, physical, really good football team.

You guys didn't see Haynes King, their quarterback, last year. What kind of challenges does he present, especially on the run game for you guys?
Well, we saw him a little bit in the run game last year. We didn't see him passing too much. He's a hard-nosed football player, tough guy.

Georgia Tech had a close win against y'all last year, and they've had a lot of close wins this year. You think maybe the gap between Tech, who is highly ranked, and you guys, perhaps, isn't as large as maybe people would think?
I mean, if you pay attention to college football, it's really a competition every week. You gotta go out there and play. You can get beaten by anybody. And I think it shows up in every game in the ACC for sure. And I think that's a great example.

What difference do you see to that game in the Carter-Finley?
Really just the energy with the guys, I would say. Night games in the Carter are unlike any other.

What was it like seeing Tristan get out there last weekend and get his first pick?
He made some plays. Man, I hurt him with the first one, but he made some plays. He's a really good football player. It was great to see. He's gained a lot of confidence this week.

Did you have to apologize to him on that?
Yeah, I apologized to him as soon as we got to the sideline.
