Having the ball in your hand, what have you noticed with the offense and how you can be successful with it?

I got shooters around me, and I got another playmaker with me, Quadir Copeland. We got bigs, Ven-Allen, Scottie, Musa, Jerry. So, yeah, I like our team for sure.

What's it been like working with Quadir, just being in similar positions, but kind of doing things a little differently size-wise and just in general?

You're right, man. Quadir is a 6'6", 6'7", PG. So, he can see the game differently from him, I mean from me. So, I just try and learn different moves from him and stuff like that because he's a bigger guard.

So, you're coming from another really historic basketball program and joining a historic basketball program. Do you feel like you're ready just because you played for Michigan State, you've kind of seen what it looks like to be part of an elite program, to sort of bring NC State back?

For sure, man. The fan base is counting on us, man. When we go to football games or like to go out to eat, we see State fans everywhere. So, man, I'm just grateful to be here, and yeah, I know what it takes.

What do you think you've improved upon the most in the offseason?

Just my leadership and then showing like my complete game. So, shooting, scoring, passing, defensively, I feel like strength, too. I was in the weight room a lot this year.

How competitive have the practices been with this group?

Really, really competitive because people don't want to lose and it gets heated, you know, chippy. So, I would say very competitive.

Is this the most depth you've seen on a college basketball team, your experience?

No. I mean, last year, we were deep at Michigan State. We could play 10, 11 guys. So, yeah, I feel like this year is the same. So, we're going to see what Coach Wade does.

What's your experience when 10, 11 guys are ready to play? How much does that lift the program up, lift the team up, having so much depth?

I mean, it's just confidence, man. Whoever is consistent, reliable, that's what Coach says. So, we're just going to start here in practice.

What were some of your motivations to enter the portal? What did you want to get out of that last year of college basketball?

Just having fun, playing freely, playing my game. And, you know, I felt this was the best situation to get me to the next level.
