Opening statement...

Before we get started, I take that on myself, I got to make that catch. If you want to point fingers at anybody, point fingers at me. It's not CJ's fault, it's not Roper's fault, it's not the defense's fault.

If you need someone to be mad at... I should have made that catch. My team trusts me to make that catch, my coaches do, and I got to make that catch though. It's on me, I'm sorry, y'all.

Justin, coming into tonight, CJ had only been sacked four times in the first four games, he was sacked five times today. What were you seeing from your point of view that led to that?

We really didn't know what to expect from this Virginia Tech team. They had a lot of people leave, so we didn't really know who was going to be on the front four. But we had to adjust and get it right in the second half.

Obviously, it wasn't our best half in the first half, and that's including myself. So we just got to get better and go again next week.

Was there anything that you noticed in the second quarter? They had three sacks, I think, on one drive. Was there anything you noticed there that they were able to continue to get in the backfield and get pressure on?

Honestly, that's just on us. We were getting our faces pushed there, myself included. So we really just got to come back. We got to practice everything we do in detail and be correct.

Justin, this has obviously been a really hard day for the program. What's the message as you move forward?

We really got to keep our heads up, maintain the good energy that we have within the facility, and just come back stronger. I know people are so tired of hearing that. I know I'm tired of hearing it, too, because we just got to win games.

That's what people expect us to do. We just got to get back on track, get this film over with on Sunday, and get ready for Campbell next Saturday.
