True freshman Teddy Hoffman has reportedly had a strong fall camp.  He recently met with the media to discuss his play, the Wolfpack offense, and much more.

What did you do in your first scrimmage with a lot of yards after your performance?
I was just doing my job and doing what my coaches taught me to do. Every day, working hard and when we go out to scrimmage, it's just another day of practice.

As a young guy, what's this fall camp been like? How have you seen yourself improve?
Just understanding that I'm young and I've got a lot to learn, but I'm also, I know I'm ready. Just learning from the older guys and understanding and being where my feet are at.

Who are some of those guys you've kind of learned from being young?
Noah Rogers, Wesley, Terrell Anderson, and all of them. We're all growing together getting better.

Friendly competition, I guess, but competition to get the ball. I mean, you've got Joly, you've got a lot of people at wide receiver, you've got obviously good running backs. How much competition is there to be the guy who gets the targets?
It's a lot. Every day, you just go to practice and you've just got to make plays. And if you continue making plays, then the ball will come your way more. And if not, you've still got to do your job.

Speaking from South Florida, you knew CJ, but now that you've been around him for months, what has it been like?
Oh, it's cool. We hang out a lot, even back in Florida. So just, he's a good kid and he works really hard on the field and I’m excited for the season. He's a great leader and I'm excited for the season.

What's your growth potential from here to the opener? What things do you want to work on?
I just want to work on getting off press releases, stuff like that. And then, you know, just being available for the quarterback. And also, blocking and doing my job when I'm not getting the ball. The little things.

So you knew CJ back in Florida. How did that relationship start?
It really started like once when I came to NC State. But we knew each other mutually. And then when we were home, we just ran routes, hung out, went out, went to Miami, whatever, and just had fun.

How important is it to have that kind of relationship with your QB?
It's really important because he can trust you, you know, on and off the field. And knowing that you're there for him, no matter what the situation is. So it means a lot, for sure.
