RELEASE: Justin Joly Named a 2025 Walter Camp Preseason Second Team All-American
RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State Football’s Justin Joly has been named to the 2025 Walter Camp Preseason FBS All-America Second Team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
Joly is one of eight players from the ACC represented on the two teams.
In his first year with the Wolfpack, Joly ranked second on the team in receptions with 43, and his 661 yards led the team. The tight end from Brewster, N.Y., finished the 2024 season with the fifth-highest reception total in school history for a tight end in a single season, while his yardage ranked fourth all-time for players at his position.
Averaging 15.4 yards per catch last season, it was the fourth-best mark in the FBS by a tight end.
After transferring from UCONN, Joly set career bests in plays (62 vs. ECU), receptions (7 vs. Duke), reception yards (95 vs. Stanford), and scored four touchdowns, the most of any season in his career.
Walter Camp is the nation’s oldest college football All-America team. The Walter Camp Football Foundation – a New Haven-based all-volunteer group – was founded in 1967 to
perpetuate the ideals of Camp and to continue the tradition of selecting annually an All-America team.
Typically announced in early December, the FBS head coaches and sports information directors select the Walter Camp All-America teams. The Foundation will be announcing the Players to Watch for the 2025 Walter Camp Player of the Year on Monday, August 4, as part of the National College Football Awards Association Watch List rollout.
