COMMIT ALERT: LSU Infielder Mikey Ryan Picks NC State

NC State has landed a commitment from LSU freshman infielder Mikey Ryan.  He posted it on Instagram.

He was rated the No. 30 ranked shortstop and No. 113 ranked overall high school player in 2024 by Perfect Game.

Ryan played in 16 games this year for LSU and was 1-for-3 with a run scored and two walks.

He is NC State first’s first position player added out of the portal. Inside Pack Sports will have more shortly on Ryan!

Well he wasn't going to get many opportunities to play in front of Milam who was the 6th ranked SS by D1. I think the fact that he was even on the LSU squad should say something. They got the best money can buy and are literally stacked at all positions. Will likely get the #1 2B in the portal now.

Could have been a pinch runner, defensive sub that didn't get an AB.
